Following on from last year’s successful and well supported visit to Bletchley Park, we have again arranged an opportunity for members to get together “out of season” to catch up and at the same time enjoy an interesting venue. The Shuttleworth Collection is a working aviation, automotive and agricultural collection located at Old Warden Aerodrome just a few miles to the south east of Bedford. In addition to the aircraft, the collection houses a number of vintage and veteran cars and motorcycles. There is also an impressive Swiss Garden to walk around but this assumes that the heatwave continues until November!
There is a reduced cost of £10 per head which includes a hot drink on arrival and access to the 6 exhibition halls throughout the day. There is a generous cafe area and, as before, the intention is to meet for coffee and then to enjoy the displays, lunch and the company of other members at your leisure. Members are welcome to bring family members or guests.
