18 Mar Silent Classics
18th March
Silent Classics, Unit 10, Chaldicott Barns, Shaftesbury SP7 9AW (11:00am)
Silent Classics is a young company who combine the classic driving experience with a modern electric one by fitting a 44kW (60bhp), 160Nm electric drivetrain into classic Fiat 500’s. Performance is reported to be brisk without burning any rubber! They have also converted a vintage Bentley and a Datsun 240Z. The MD, Jack Kerridge, is an Automotive Engineer who has set up Silent Classics to combine his engineering talents with his love for classic cars.
Jack’s wife will treat us to coffee and snacks on arrival and we will then take a tour of their works, followed by a brief experience test drive for anyone who is interested.
There is a café within walking distance of Silent Classics for any other meals or refreshments you require.
The location is on a quiet industrial estate with plenty of parking for our cars.
As a follow on to visiting this interesting venue, if there is sufficient interest amongst attendees, we are considering staying overnight in local accommodation and meeting up after breakfast to go for a short driveout to a local place of interest, followed by lunch together before we disperse to head off home.
Please contact Colin Smith to register your interest in attending this event.
