Sailing the Broads & Culford Classic Car Show, Norfolk & Suffolk

Plans are in place for a weekend in rural East Anglia enjoying the beauty of the Norfolk Broads, a drive through the backlanes of the Norfolk and Suffolk countryside and a return visit for the club to the Classic Car Show at Culford near Bury St Edmunds. The event commences Saturday morning at 10am at the historic Hunter’s Yard on the Norfolk Broads where members will enjoy sailing in one of the yard’s classic wooden sailing boats with an experienced skipper for 2 hours on the Norfolk Broads. Each boat will hold 3 to 4 members and be followed by a picnic lunch at the Boatyard and a chance to tour the facilities with staff providing information on heritage craft building skills.

Club members will then drive through the beautiful countryside heading south towards Bury St Edmunds for overnight accommodation and an evening meal together. On Sunday members will attend the Culford Show in the beautiful grounds of Culford private school and enjoy one of the best classic car events in East Anglia.

The event at Hunters Yard on Saturday 13^th July will start at 10am and members may, if they wish, find local accommodation the previous evening.
