Fiat 500 Club Annual General Meeting (AGM)

The Shuttle Suite, National Space Centre, Exploration Drive, Leicester, LE4 5NS

Following the success of the last two years AGMs at Silverstone and the British Motor Museum, we are continuing the theme of choosing a prestigious venue, but this time with a non-car theme which we hope will appeal to you. The National Space Centre in Leicester is a fantastic venue and includes many interesting attractions which are free to all paying attending members. Tickets are priced at £10 per person which has been heavily subsidised by the club. Tickets are normally £19.95pp if booked online, or £20.95pp on the door. If you wish to attend the AGM but do not wish to explore the Space Centre there is no charge but I must still know that you are coming. Only members who have booked with me will be allowed into the AGM – please do not just turn up on the day. Finally, it is essential that you book all your tickets with me by 7/9/2024 so I can arrange for your tickets to be waiting for you on arrival. The more people who attend, the better, so I would ask you to please make the effort to join us at this incredible venue.

There is complimentary on-site car parking and a café in the Centre providing drinks, breakfast rolls and lunch between 10am and 4pm (the opening hours of the Centre), so time for some sustenance before the AGM starts at 11am!

The AGM will start promptly at 11am in The Shuttle Suite within the Space Centre. The AGM agenda is as follows:

Welcome and annual report of the last Club year
Presentation and approval of accounts
Members questions
Nominations and committee appointments
Close of meeting
Committee Nominations – Any club member is eligible to run for office in any vacant position. Committee positions are for a 3-year term and most of the current committee have finished their 3 years, and whilst all are willing to continue for another term, these positions are open to re-election. The exceptions, i.e. positions NOT up for re-election are:

Club Secretary
Membership Secretary
Website Manager
Please see, complete and submit the Committee member nomination form to me by email if you wish to nominate someone. The closing date for all nominations is midnight on 4/9/2024. The form has been emailed to all members, but if you did not receive it – you can ring me to request one.

Your attendance at this event would be very much appreciated, and you will get a good day out at The National Space Centre to boot! By keeping the AGM in September, we hope we will get some good weather and tempt out a good number of 500s. Please support us and come along so we can continue to consider prestigious venues like this again in the future.

This year, by popular demand, the committee will be positioned at the front of the room, facing the audience, so you know what we all look like!
